EG CONFERENCE IN CARMEL, CA
I was onstage recently at the EG Conference in Carmel, CA where I delivered a talk about Frank Hurley, who was Sir Ernest Shackleton’s official photographer on the epic “Endurance” expedition of 1916. On screen is a video of me on South Georgia Island made by Chris Eckstrom–I’m wearing period clothing like Hurley wore and using a century-old camera that is just like the one he used. It was challenging to create images with that camera, and it only increased my admiration for Hurley.
